University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) is Queensland's seventh newest public university, having opened its doors in 1996. Located in the Sunshine Coast region north of Brisbane, Queensland's state capital, it is a modern university with one of the highest quality faculties of any Australian university. It is the only public school in Queensland to have been awarded a five-star rating for teaching quality by the Good Universities Guide since 2010, and was also awarded a five-star rating for graduate satisfaction by the Good Universities Guide in 2011.
