The University of Sydney (USYD), founded in 1850, is a public research university located in Sydney, Australia. It is also the oldest university in Australia, and is one of the leading academic halls in the Southern Hemisphere and a world-renowned institution of higher learning. The University of Sydney is a member of Australia's top eight universities and six sandstone institutions, as well as being a member of the Pacific Rim University Consortium, the Asia-Pacific Alliance for Education and Research in International Trade, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and Australia's only member of the Consortium for Education in Global Management (CEMS). The University of Sydney is currently ranked 41st in the QS World University Rankings 2023, 52nd in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022 and 28th in the US News World University Rankings 2022.

Entry Requirements

 

- Bachelor's degree: IELTS 6.5 or above, with no less than 6.0 in any subject. Master's degree: IELTS 7.0 or above, with no less than 6.0 in any subject.

- Postgraduate entry (Master) IELTS of not less than 7.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in a single subject. For some programmes such as Engineering and Computer Science, Health Sciences, Medicine, Law and Business, IELTS 7.0 with no less than 6.5-7.0, and up to 7.5 for Education programmes.

- MBA programmes require 3 years of management experience, some business programmes require GMAT or GRE scores, and design and architecture programmes have portfolio requirements.
